Know Your Rights and Remedies Under the New Jersey Law Against Descrimination

Philip Freeman*, Assistant Director, Office of the Attorney General, NJ Division on Civil Rights will present and discuss the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
Topics include:

  • Employment Discrimination
  • Housing
  • Public Accommodation
  • Credit/Contracting
The program will also include a discussion of the means for recognizing and minimizing Implicit Bias.

*'Assistant Director (AD) Freeman has been employed for 35 years with Division on Civil Rights (DCR) and has been Assistant Director since 2001. He oversees the agency’s Mediation Unit, which is responsible for the settlement and resolution of cases between complainants and respondents prior to investigative assignment.  He also oversees the Bureau of Prevention, Outreach, and Public Education, (POPE), which is responsible for providing training and educational programs on the NJ Law Against Discrimination (LAD) for employers in public and private industry, fair housing and real estate organizations, community based ethnic and religious/ community groups, disability organizations, GLBT community, school districts, NJ Bar Association, and the general public.'
